In my town

We wait in line at Costco for twenty minutes to put gas in our cars. Not only do we get to wait in line. We get to watch as the visitors to the US try to figure out the complex machines called gas pumps.
In case you need a refresher course on how to pump gas. Here you go.
1. Patiently, wait your turn. Once you commit to a line stay there.
2. While you are patiently waiting get your debit card and costco card out of your wallet.
3. Once you arrive at the pump it is courteous to look and see if the furthest pump is clearing up, if it is wait and pull forward.
4. Insert your Costco card
5. Insert debit card
6. Enter pin and say "no" to reciept
7. Remove nozzle
8. Select grade
9. If you are filling extra gas cans fill them first. don't close them yet. Just fill them
10. After filling your extra cans fill up your car.
11. As your car is filling close those extra cans and load them into your car. I wouldn't recommend wrapping them in trash bags (unless you like traveling with a bomb in your car) or laying those Costco muffins on top of the gas cans.
12. Remove nozzle and place back on pump.
13. Quickly, get into your car and pull away from the pump.
There see it is easy.

we should require everyone who uses Costco gas to go through that training course. geeeeesh. The most frustrating part(s) is the not getting your card out during the 30 minute line wait then fumbling around and spending 6 minutes figuring out the machine (are these from the future?!) THEN PRINTING A RECEIPT!! ughhh haha It's ok, I'm good.
