- How to build a fire. None of those wimpy little ones. If you are going to build a fire make it worth the effort.
- He taught me always carry a knife and keep it sharp "always cut towards your son not your thumb, you can get a new son you can't grow a new thumb"
- When buying a flashlight get the most lumen's for your money (or get the cute one.)
- It is ok to talk to yourself when trying to solve a problem. If it is a story problem draw a picture.
- It is important to help others. Even when it isn't convenient for you.
- When backing a trailer... Hold the bottom of the steering wheel, then steer the way you want the trailer to go.
- Flip flops are the only appropriate shoe when on a vacation.
- When you are hammering look where you want the hammer to go. If you look at your finger you will hit your finger. (same applies to an axe, a baseball, a Frisbee, etc.)
